Pelosi is an Idiot.

Well, Nancy Pelosi has finally done it. She has gone and proved that she is nothing but a coward and a political idiot. She has just lost Democrats a US Senate seat and perhaps the Presidency. Good job Nancy. (SNARK!!)
On Monday of this week in a debate that he clearly won, Mark Udall, in response to a taunt from his opponent Bob "Big Oil" Schaffer promised to vote against adjournment of the US House until comprehensive energy legislation was considered.
Yesterday, while on a plane back to Washington, for what was supposed to be a Friday vote on adjournment, Speaker Pelosi, with 10 minutes warning, brought the motion for adjournment to the floor. It passed by one vote. Guess where Mark Udall was. On a plane.
More after the fold.
God Says Masturbation OK!!!!
Sat Nov 10, 2007 at 07:14:05 AM PDT
Imagine a novel which takes on brainless pretty boy Republicans, the Catholic hierarchy, sexually obsessed politicians, traditional media reporters, talk show hosts, lawyers and a host of others. Might I suggest "A Highly Placed Source" by former Pulitzer Prize winning newspaper writer and principal in Progressive Promotions here in Denver, Michelle Dally.
Michelle’s razor sharp wit and pointed satire made me laugh so hard I cried. Can you imagine the religious right’s head exploding over a young boy’s message from God that masturbation is "no big deal"? Did God really say, "He had more important things to worry about and that I ought to enjoy myself, as long as it didn’t hurt others"? And wait until you read what happens when the boys gets a second message from God. It’s a real three-ring circus.
There are heroes too. An alcoholic reporter, an aid to a local Congresswoman. A hospice nurse who lost her own son. Ultimately, these characters win you over. The ending, well you’ll just have to buy the book here.
BREAKING: Allard Won't Run
Mon Jan 15, 2007 at 11:24:22 AM PDT
Senator Wayne Allard (R-One of the Five Worst Senators-Colo) has announced he won't run for a third term keeping his two term term limits pledge. Let the fun begin. All sorts of possiblities being discussed on Colorado blogs. Former Representative Scott McInnis is being rumored to be the favorite of Colorado's heavyweights. He isn't acceptable to the right-wing as he is nominally pro-choice. Should be a great primary on the Republican side. Representative Mark Udall is the presumptive Democratic nominee and has already announce he will run.
